This time I want to tell you how our actions in the past year will affect the future of the FCI. I am not saying it is not important to summarise our achievements and to explain why we proceeded in a certain way, but I want to talk about our future as an international organisation, but most important about the future of our dogs worldwide.

Three aspects have been transcendental during the past year; cooperation and collaboration, innovation and preparation for the future. These three aspects will lead our organisation for the next year.

FCI Commission for British Pointers - Activity report

Held on 17-18 March 2016, the European Cup was organised by the Setter & Pointer Club Switzerland and took place in the vicinity of Nis in Serbia.

The judging team made up of:

  • Mr Sakis Ponireas (GR) – President
  • Mr Vladimir Demarez (FR)
  • Mr Hari Herak (HR)

judged teams from:
The Netherlands, Cyprus, San Marino, Czech Republic, Serbia, Russia, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Macedonia, Greece, France, Argentina, Turkey, Croatia and Germany.
The 16 nations fielded a total of 64 dogs.

Under the eyes of 24 judges, more than 100 participants in 8 groups took part in the “Excellence Trials” on 19 March 2016, also in the vicinity of Nis in Serbia.

Thanks to the excellent availability of game in Nis, 34 dogs gained a ranking.
