This time I want to tell you how our actions in the past year will affect the future of the FCI. I am not saying it is not important to summarise our achievements and to explain why we proceeded in a certain way, but I want to talk about our future as an international organisation, but most important about the future of our dogs worldwide.

Three aspects have been transcendental during the past year; cooperation and collaboration, innovation and preparation for the future. These three aspects will lead our organisation for the next year.

The FCI is happy to announce that a revised version of the current agreement on the mutual recognition of dog show judges was signed on Thursday 9 March 2017 with the Kennel Club (UK) on the occasion of the Eukanuba World Challenge and Crufts in Birmingham.

A dog-loving society: Best practices and perspectives
International workshop, Vilnius (LT), 6-7 March
After their international dog show on the previous weekend, the Lithuanian canine organisation held a workshop on 6-7 March, which main focus was on the initiatives aiming at raising the awareness of the general public regarding dogs and their role in society.

Dogs in the space race
